COMFORT WORTH RESTORING

Give worn marine upholstery a fresh start

Marine upholstery is exposed to Florida sun, moisture, salt and constant use. Over time, vinyl can fade or crack, stitching can weaken and foam can lose its shape and support. A professional upholstery restoration can transform the comfort and appearance of your boat without changing the seating layout you already enjoy. Our team evaluates the existing upholstery, foam and structure before recommending the most appropriate solution.

RESTORE OR REPLACE?

We help determine what your seating really needs

Marine upholstery projects can range from replacing a damaged section of vinyl to rebuilding an entire seating area. Our team evaluates the condition of the upholstery, stitching and foam before recommending the best approach. If the existing materials can reasonably be restored, we focus on what needs attention. When upholstery or foam has reached the end of its useful life, we can rebuild the seating with new marine-grade materials.

The goal is better comfort, better appearance and a solution that makes sense for your boat.

MARINE UPHOLSTERY FAQ

Common questions from boat owners

Can my existing boat upholstery be restored?

In many cases, yes. If the seating structure is still in good condition, worn vinyl, damaged stitching and tired foam can often be replaced or restored without rebuilding the entire seating area.

When should marine upholstery be replaced?

Replacement may be the better option when vinyl is extensively cracked or deteriorated, stitching has failed across large areas or foam has lost its shape and support. We inspect the existing seating before recommending the appropriate approach.

Can you replace the foam inside my boat seats?

Yes. Foam condition is an important part of marine seating comfort. When existing foam is compressed, damaged or no longer supportive, it can be replaced or reshaped as part of the upholstery project.

Do you use marine-grade upholstery materials?

Yes. Materials are selected specifically for marine environments and the demands of sun, moisture and regular use on the water. The exact materials depend on the requirements of each project.

Where is the upholstery work completed?

Upholstery work is completed in our Fort Pierce workshop at Safe Harbor Harbortown. Sunnyland Canvas has dedicated upholstery workstations as well as a separate foam cutting and gluing area.

Do you install the finished upholstery on the boat?

When the project requires it, yes. Once the upholstery work is completed, our team can return the finished components to the boat for fitting, adjustments and final installation.
