What types of boats do you work on?
We work primarily on powerboats and motor yachts, including center consoles, sport fishing boats, walkarounds, cuddy cabins, express cruisers, bowriders, pontoons and larger recreational motor yachts. Our work covers custom marine canvas, enclosures, Bimini and T-Top systems, boat covers, upholstery, cushions and clear-vinyl panels designed around the specific layout and use of each vessel.
We also work on selected sailboats, particularly for cockpit canvas, Biminis, dodgers, enclosures, cushions and upholstery. Every project is evaluated individually because fit, fastening systems, exposure to sun and saltwater, cruising speed and storage conditions all influence the choice of materials and construction methods.
Whether the boat is used for fishing, cruising, day boating or long-term coastal use, we adapt the design and materials to provide the right balance of protection, durability, functionality and finish.
Can my existing canvas be repaired?
Yes. Many marine canvas problems can be repaired without replacing the entire piece. Depending on its condition, we can repair seams, zippers, snaps, stitching, small tears and other damaged areas to help extend the life of your existing canvas. If the material is too worn or deteriorated, we can also recommend the best replacement option.
How long does a custom boat cover last?
The lifespan of a custom boat cover depends on the material, sun exposure, weather conditions, maintenance and how often it is used. A well-made marine canvas cover can typically last several years when properly cared for. Regular cleaning, good ventilation and repairing small issues early can help extend its lifespan and keep your boat protected longer.
Do you replace boat cushions?
Yes. We can replace worn or damaged boat cushions and create new custom cushions to fit your boat. Depending on the project, we can replace the marine vinyl, foam or the complete cushion, using marine-grade materials designed to withstand sun, moisture and everyday use while improving comfort and appearance.
What materials do you use?
We use professional-grade marine materials selected according to the application, exposure and level of finish required. For exterior canvas, we work with high-performance fabrics such as Sunbrella®, known for UV resistance, color stability, water resistance and durability in demanding marine environments.
For enclosures and clear panels, we use marine-grade clear vinyl products such as Strataglass™ and comparable premium materials designed for good optical clarity, flexibility and resistance to sun, salt and moisture. For upholstery, we use marine-grade vinyl, UV-resistant fabrics and suitable closed-cell or marine foam depending on the seating application.
We also pay close attention to the components that determine how long a finished project will last: UV-resistant thread, marine-grade zippers, snaps and stainless-steel hardware, including products from recognized manufacturers such as YKK® where appropriate.
Material selection is always adapted to the boat, how it is stored, how often it is used and the level of sun and weather exposure it receives in Florida.
Can I request a free estimate?
Yes. You can request a free estimate for your marine canvas or upholstery project. Send us a few details about your boat, the service you need and, if possible, some photos of the existing canvas, cushions or area you want to work on. We’ll review your project and get back to you with the next steps
Which areas do you serve?
We serve boat owners throughout Florida’s Treasure Coast and surrounding areas, including Fort Pierce, Vero Beach, Port St. Lucie, Stuart and nearby coastal communities. Depending on the project, we can also work with customers from farther south or north along Florida’s East Coast. Contact us to discuss your boat, location and the service you need.
How do I maintain my canvas?
Proper maintenance can significantly extend the life of marine canvas, stitching, zippers and clear vinyl. Rinse the canvas regularly with fresh water to remove salt, sand and dirt, and clean it with a soft brush and mild soap. For marine fabrics such as Sunbrella®, use cleaning products recommended by the fabric manufacturer and avoid bleach or aggressive detergents unless specifically approved for that material.
For waterproofing and fabric protection, products such as 303® Fabric Guard are commonly used on marine canvas after a thorough cleaning and complete drying. Zippers and snaps should also be kept clean and periodically lubricated with products designed for marine hardware, such as YKK® zipper lubricant or Snap Stick®, to reduce corrosion and unnecessary stress on the fabric.
If your enclosure includes clear vinyl such as Strataglass™, Eisenglass/Isinglass-type clear vinyl, or similar marine glazing, avoid household glass cleaners, ammonia, alcohol and abrasive cloths. Use dedicated marine clear-vinyl cleaners and protectants, such as IMAR™ Strataglass Protective Cleaner and Polish, and always wipe with a clean microfiber cloth.
Finally, never store marine canvas while it is wet. Allow it to dry completely, avoid folding clear vinyl whenever possible, and repair loose stitching, damaged zippers, worn snaps or small tears early. Preventive maintenance is usually much less expensive than replacing an entire canvas or enclosure
Can I bring my boat to your shop?
Yes. Our workshop is located directly at the marina in Fort Pierce, so you can bring your boat to us by water for inspection, measurements, repairs or custom work.
Having the workshop on-site allows our team to evaluate the boat in its real configuration, check existing canvas, enclosures, cushions and hardware, and take accurate measurements before fabrication or repair. Many adjustments and repairs can then be handled directly at our marina workshop.
For larger custom projects, bringing the boat to us can also make fitting and final installation easier and more precise. Contact us before your visit so we can confirm availability and coordinate your arrival at the marina.
